Information about Rick Crisler 

Rick Crisler, father of High Country Junior Racers K.C. Crisler and Madison Crisler, and husband to Kim Crisler, suffered a stroke on 27 February 2010, evidently due to high blood pressure.  He is in the Intensive Care Unit of Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.  Kim tells us that there is partial paralysis involved, but that Rick is alert and is able to communicate with visitors. For those of you who may not know Rick, he has been a parent volunteer and cheerleader for the High Country Junior Race Series for the past ten years or more.  He is an enthusiastic skier and devoted father who has given freely of his time to help with race practices for Team App. Ski Mtn. and to the series as a whole.  You just can't find a nicer guy.
